I am setting up a unit plan on the topic of cesnorship as an assignment in a YAL course. I have an article you wrote "Censoring and Writing for Young Adults" and I wanted to include your book Losing It as part of the reading, but I have no idea where to find it. Where could I locate it via internet.

I am furious - after three weeks i still have not received my book and they have not offered any justification or apology when I contacted them. NEVER buy from these people if you value your money.

Hello, I bought about 25 books from Better World Books a few weeks ago. I received 20 of them in a box and was quite concerned so I sent them an email, when that didn't get a response a week later I sent them another and posted on their facebook profile. That day they responded to me and many others who had experienced issues with their shipments. They assured me that my other 5 books were indeed coming but in a different shipment. My books were waiting for me when I got home that day. I'm not sure why they sent them in a separate package, but I got the books, I got both shipments far before I expected to receive the books and I got them for a much better price than I would have anywhere else.

Specifically to your pricing complaint, I got these books all from the bargain bin and because I was savvy about it I managed to get them all for around $4 each, with the new offer of free shipping it didn't go up by another $4 each as it would have without the free shipping. As for Amazon, the sellers may be selling their books for fantastic prices but every one costs around $6.50 to ship. So by buying from BWB I went from spending upwards of $200 there or at Amazon, or the less helpful $500 at any bookstore, I spent $80 on books that were hard to find anywhere else. So yes, it is cheaper depending on what you're buying and how smart a shopper you are.

And to the earlier comment about one of the employees beating his family, that's awful and whether or not it's true, unless the other employees at BWB were joining in the beating, or they had somehow influenced the father, or were keeping him employed with those infractions in mind (though it may be illegal to fire someone on that territory alone, not sure), it's not that much of a reflection on the company. And I'm sure if you look at any company you'll find one or two employees aren't all that savory either.
